Alma is a kind-fashion brand crafting timeless, eco-conscious handbags using innovative plant-based leathers — primarily for the U.S. market. As we prepare for our Kickstarter campaign and brand launch, we're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Creative Assistant to support us across content creation, communication design, social media, and branding initiatives.


Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Fashion Communication Design graduate who’s excited to take on a dynamic, creative role across branding, marketing, digital storytelling, and communication strategy. If you’re passionate about content, design, and storytelling — and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment — this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Digital Design

  • Create visually engaging and brand-aligned content including reels, stories, product graphics, and digital campaigns
  • Style and shoot in-house content (photo + video) for social platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Edit videos and photos to create compelling visual narratives for our audience
  • Design graphics, newsletters, product cards, and marketing assets using Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma, etc.
  • Repurpose UGC (User-Generated Content) and influencer collaborations into engaging posts and reels


2. Social Media & Brand Communication

  • Manage and schedule posts across Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
  • Write captions, newsletters, and campaign copy that reflect our brand voice and values
  • Engage with our audience on social platforms with warmth, clarity, and consistency
  • Experiment with creative formats and storytelling techniques to boost reach and engagement
  • Monitor trends, hashtags, and formats to keep Alma’s digital presence fresh and relevant


3. Design & Product Development

  • Contribute to the planning and design of new collections, from research to final product approvals
  • Prepare detailed spec sheets, coordinate with sample makers, and oversee the prototyping process
  • Conduct trend forecasting and market research to inform future designs and collection planning
  • Provide creative direction on materials, finishes, and styling for both product development and brand visuals


4. Brand Building & Research

  • Collaborate with the team to shape Alma’s visual and verbal identity across platforms
  • Conduct ongoing research on competitors, market trends, and global branding practices
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for campaigns, content series, and brand storytelling
  • Work closely with photographers, videographers, and strategists to plan and execute campaigns
  • Provide creative support during brand and product shoots — from scripting to styling.


Requirements

  • Graduate in Fashion Communication Design \ Leather Design \ Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory Design or a related creative/design discipline
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.
  • Strong visual and graphic design skills with an interest in storytelling
  • Photo and video editing skills, with an eye for content creation for social media
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with a strong aesthetic sensibility
  • Bonus: Knowledge of any 3D software like 3D max, Fusion 360, etc.
  • A proactive, curious mindset — ready to learn and grow within a dynamic startup team
