About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the development of MobiLytix Rewards, a cloud-native B2B Loyalty Management SaaS platform. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, ensuring production stability, driving technical excellence, and fostering collaboration across multiple teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. People Management & Mentorship

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in MERN stack development best practices and DevOps methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

2. Code & Quality Assurance

  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, maintainability, and scalability of the codebase.
  • Work closely with the QA team to establish testing strategies and maintain high application quality.

3. Production Stability & Scalability

  • Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Drive observability, monitoring, and alerting strategies to proactively identify and fix issues.

 

Required Skills & Expertise

1. MERN Stack Development Expertise

  • Strong experience in JavaScript, React, Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
  • Knowledge of component libraries like Ant Design, Material UI, or similar.
  • Experience with backend frameworks such as Feathers.js or equivalent.

2. Database & Data Pipelines

  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and BigQuery.
  • Expertise in designing and orchestrating data pipelines using tools like Apache NiFi.
  • Knowledge of data transformation, enrichment, and aggregation techniques.

3. DevOps & Cloud Technologies

  • Hands-on experience with Git for version control.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and EKS.
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.

4. Monitoring & Observability

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

5. Leadership & Communication

  • Ability to drive technical discussions, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making capabilities, and a passion for driving engineering excellence.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in containerized data workflows and cloud-native data processing pipelines.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-based analytics and recommendation engines in a SaaS environment.
