A Regional Sales Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing sales activities within a specific geographic region. This includes setting sales goals, developing sales strategies, building, and maintaining relationships with clients, analyzing sales data, and ensuring that the sales targets are met. The role involves 50% to 60% travel within the designated region to meet with clients and intercompany meetings.


SALES FUNCTIONS:


Prospecting:

  • Identify and research potential customers or lead through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) software HubSpot to track leads, manage contact information, and prioritize prospects.

Lead Qualification:

  • Qualify leads based on factors such as budget, authority, need, and timeline.
  • Conduct thorough discovery calls, Emails, or meetings to understand the prospect's pain points, challenges, and objectives.

Product/Service Presentation:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the company's products or services, features, benefits, and value proposition.
  • Customize presentations or pitches to address the specific needs and interests of each prospect.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track sales activities, pipeline metrics, and performance KPIs using CRM software or sales tracking tools.
  • Generate regular reports and analyses to evaluate sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales techniques and methodologies.
  • Participate in training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills and knowledge.

Strategic Planning:

  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with Clients, and manufacturing issues, ensuring business continuity, resilience, and growth.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, preferably in the specific sector of the hiring company.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions to address challenges.
  • Results-Driven: Demonstrated ability to achieve results and meet targets.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 2 years experience in a sales role and proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing multiple accounts.
