• Must possess strong consulting skills.
• Guides partner in one-to-one consultation to provide solutions to their customer environment within primary or minor solution areas (e.g., architectural guidance, request for proposal [RFP] assistance, deployment guidance). Identifies and recommend complimentary solution areas.
• Guiding Partners with transitions/migration to the Microsoft 365 cloud services such as tenant setup and service configuration.
• Helping partners design and develop cloud-specific security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Be a Trusted Advisor by guiding partners to adopt Microsoft best Practices to help them sell / deploy Microsoft 365 Solutions for their customers.
• Use business, technology, and industry strategies to define customer/partner requirements and constraints. Leads conversation with partner to identify the requirements of the business and/or scenario they are trying to solve.
• Gathers partner feedback in real time to deliver to respective planning team based on the support the market needs.
• Identifies partner needs and recommends routine or narrow technical solution solutions (e.g., SharePoint, Exchange Online, security assessments, privacy, data retention) or technical best practices through feature comparison, architecture design, proofs of concept, etc., and shares materials to help partners meet their business goals at a support-market level.
• Proactively and continuously learns new technology in their respective solution area and builds knowledge in additional solution areas. Collaborate with other Partner Technical Consultants (PTCs) by sharing experiences, best practices, and product news. Attains proper accreditation needed to deliver different intellectual property. Participates in relevant technical communities.
• Records and updates labor in incident-management tool.
• Document case status logs a record of their labor and activities on valid solutions and has timely engagement and follow up with partners.
• Records and updates technical and professional skills in a tracking tool.

As a Partner Technical Consultant for Microsoft 365, you will be at the front lines with our Partners supporting them with their Microsoft 365 needs specifically helping them navigate the journey to the cloud on the Microsoft 365 Solutions aligned by three Modern Workplace solution areas: (1) Secure Remote Work to improve productivity (2) Security and Compliance and (3) Modern Management.
