Data Reliability Engineer I @Zeta Suite, Hyderabad

What would you do here?
- Monitor and maintain data platforms, databases, and data pipelines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and data quality problems.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and address data-related issues.
- Liaison with engineering teams for RCA's(Root Cause Analysis), permanent resolutions on issues affecting production sites.
- Collaborate with the data Engineering team to maintain data pipelines and workflows.
- Assist in capacity planning and optimization of data storage and processing resources.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on data infrastructure and best practices.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve system reliability and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data infrastructure and operations.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data concepts, relational databases, and SQL.
- Familiarity with data infrastructure technologies such as data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, and streaming platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Java.
- Experience with any one of the ETL tools such as Nifi, Airflow, and Debezium is a must.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g Docker, Kubernetes) and datawarehouse (e.g., Redshift) are a plus.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools for data systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is beneficial.
- Experience with version control and CICD tools like Git and Jenkins is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
