Everyone, I am looking to fill in a leadership role for Yum! Brands Data Science team.

As the Head of Data Science, you will be responsible for leading and shaping our data science strategy, driving insights, and leveraging advanced analytics to optimize business performance. You will play a critical role in developing and executing data-driven initiatives that fuel our growth and enhance our competitive advantage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of data scientists and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall data science strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through data science techniques.
• Design and implement advanced analytics models and algorithms to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.
• Drive the development and deployment of machine learning models and predictive analytics to optimize business processes, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and identify opportunities for their application within the organization.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by establishing robust data governance practices and implementing effective data management strategies.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage additional data sources and expertise, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Maths or a related engineering or science discipline. Overall 10+ years of experience in analytics and/or data science.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in a leadership role within a data science or analytics function, preferably in a fast-paced and data-intensive industry.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and other data science techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience working with data analysis tools and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align data science initiatives with broader business objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a high-performing team of data scientists.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Retail & QSR is a plus.
