Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and Deploy Apache Spark and Scala programs in a very dynamic and challenging work environment
• Help write analytics code, services and components in Java, Apache Spark, and related technologies such as Scala and Pyspark (Python)
• Systems analysis – Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
• Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates
• Work proactively, independently and with global teams to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
• Work as a Dev-Ops team member to successfully monitor and maintain Operational processes

Eligibility

To apply to an internal job, employees must meet the following criteria:

• IJP is applicable only for SG25 & SG26
• The candidate should have completed 12 months in the current role
• The candidate should not be on any active CAP/ PIP
• The performance review of the candidate has to be ME & Above in the last common review

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on development experience in Spark programming, particularly in Scala. It is good to have experience in Spark development using Pyspark
• Experience with Python and associated Python Packages
• Experience in Database technologies including MySQL and NoSQL DBs like Cassandra, etc.
• Exposure to following DevOps methodology and creating CI/CD deployment pipeline
• Good Knowledge of the Hadoop Ecosystem and related components
• Sound understanding of Apache Spark architecture and its practical implementation in a clustered environment
• Sound understanding of running applications on a Containerized platform (Docker/ Kubernetes)
• Excellent Analytical and Communication skills (Both Verbal and Written)
• Ability to understand the existing application codebase, perform impact analysis and update the code when required based on the business logic or for optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

• US Healthcare domain experience
• Good to have experience in the Streaming application (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.)
• Good to have exposure to any cloud based PAAS architecture and running spark application on top of it
• Exposure to job schedulers like Airflow and the ability to create and modify DAGs
• Understanding of Agile framework and concept of Scrum etc.
• Basic understanding of data analytics/ ML algorithms and implementation
• Comfortable working in Data analytic platforms, understanding the workflow of streaming ingestion, Data enrichments, and migration efforts
