What You'll Do

• Take ownership across the SDLC planning, analysing, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining in adherence to Android's development standards and guideline.
• Write code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Effectively document and communicate knowledge, system and process
• Effectively communicate scope, progress, concerns, and issues
• Develop mobile framework and UI based on best practices
• Execute POCs for visionary initiatives
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Expertise You'll Bring

• In-depth knowledge of Native Android related technologies, Kotlin language, Jetpack and design pattern
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful/GraphQL APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Experience in writing Unit Tests, UI Instrumentation Test
• Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform
• Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, continuous integration, and source control (GIT) and peer code-reviews
• Knowledge in Android platform and OWASP security practices
