What the job entails 

As a Media Planner, you will:

• Use secondary data analysis (BARC /IRS /RAM /TAM /TGI /OMD tools etc), as well as your experience, to arrive at actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and the account team to understand the clients business objectives and media strategy
• Recommend the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations.
• Research and analyse data using specialist industry resources.
• Ensure that approved contract deliverables are created and sent as per the engagement calendar.
• Evaluate the campaign at stages and take measures to ensure that campaign deliverables are met.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to shape future campaigns.
• Address all day-to-day queries from the client.
• Provide quality analysis with action points for category competitive reports for clients.
• Alert clients in time if there is likely to be a campaign delivery shortfall and implement corrective measures keeping the client in the loop.
• Proofread advertisement content before release.

Essentials:

• 1-3 years of experience.
• Commercial flair.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients and media owners.
• Strong media software expertise - BARC/YUMI, IRS, MAP, TGI, Comscore, RAM etc.
• The ability to spot trends and provide compelling insights through data analysis.
• Strong functional media knowledge with the ability to consider media issues from a media-owner perspective; being updated with broad media trends.
• Ability to interact with people from a wide cross-section to get applicable information.

Bonus Points For:

• Media experience with a mix of media planning, buying, research or channel strategy, and insights experience.
• An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math.
