Responsibilities

• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) designer.

• Work cross-functionally to convert business needs into technical specifications

• Take over existing applications and make changes/enhancements.

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across the application.

• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services API.

• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.

• Coordinate with co-developers and keep project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as a liaison between development staff and project manager.

• Communicate effectively with a client about tasks progress status, evaluations, suggestions, release schedules along with technical and process issues.

• Periodically deploy new builds on AWS server.

• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering.

• 3+ years of application development experience with PHP, Jquery, and Laravel frameworks. Should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel PHP Framework (7 and above).

• Expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and MS SQL databases

• Should be able to quickly grasp and work on the existing code-base and frameworks.

• Should understand SDLC, Agile.

• Knowledge of MVC framework.

• Flexible to work in a team and also independently.

• Good to have: exposure to AWS services - Cognito, Secrets Manager, Aurora, Amplify, S3
