Job Description

1. Follow complete development life cycle to build robust systems with traceability.

2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to address inter dependencies and Designing, Developing, Coding, Debugging, Testing and Documentation.

3. Gather the preliminary information and contribute in architecting the firmware.

4. Maintain and document the designs and all the relevant data important for the product.

5. Provide post development and post production support.

6. Learn the development processes and procedures deployed at MPA R&D and ensure compliance at all stages.

7. To work in a closed knit team of firmware developers to work on system firmware development.

ESSENTIAL: -

1. BE, B. Tech. ME, M. Tech. (ECE / CS)

2. 5 6 years of hardcore firmware development experience.

3. 32-bit Micro controller-based and SoC solutions for embedded platforms (ARM / Arm Cortex, DSPs / Single Board Computer)

4. Programming experience in Embedded C, C/C++

5. Embedded platform tools like Keil, IAR or MPLAB

6. Must have exp in communication protocols like, SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN

7. Physical communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART or RS485 interfaces.

8. Interface/Data communication programming based on TCP, UDP

9. Good analytical and problem-solving skills

10. Experience in programming/optimizing firmware for embedded micro controllers like STM32 or PIC32

11. Hands-on experience in version control, defect tracking (e.g. SVN, GIT, JIRA)

12. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)

DESIRABLE: -

• Experience in cross-compiling for open source software in micro controller target architectures (e.g. ARM)
• Development on any of the wireless technologies like Bluetooth Mesh, RF Mesh or Zigbee
• Knowledge of real time operating systems (RTOS)
• Knowledge in hardware debugging and testing
• Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 systems & procedures.
