Following this guide will increase your chances of securing an interview with Etho

• Please keep your resume short. This is very important. Ideal page length of 1 page. Maximum length of 2 pages. This will help bring into focus your most significant achievements and forces removal of all BS.
• Highlight the part if you want to focus on any particular thing.
• Languages/Technology does not matter that much. A good engineer picks up the required language within a couple of weeks.
• Use bullet points.
• Put quantifiable metrics like – “Improved the time of X from 24 hours to 10 minutes by automating it using Python script.” Instead of “Gathered requirements, designed and implemented X.”
• 5 years of experience is a must. No Freshers.

Responsibilities:

• Build, ship, manage and maintain code on production. You own the feature you build and ship until someone else takes over officially.
• Be on call for the features / projects you built/own.
• Work closely and collaborate with the CTO and VP of Engineering to deliver on project requirements
• Independently research/build completely new tools in any language that is appropriate for the job.
• Attention to design and detail. We ship fast, but we maintain quality in code, UI and UX. Having the drive and understanding and willingness to work hard and perfect those aspects is a must.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of iOS app development experience
• Strong communication skills (both verbal & written) and ability to lead or contribute to multiple projects in an agile team environment.
• Strong OOP skills
• Proficient with Objective-C or Swift [[depending on project requirements]], and Cocoa Touch
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket and their source code integrations into XCode
• Experience working with storyboards, nib files and auto-layout
• Experience with modern networking libraries like React
• Strong knowledge of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Good understanding of iOS security features and how to utilize them; knowledge of security risks regarding iOS operating systems and mobile applications and knowledge of how to mitigate them
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Solid understanding fn relational database concepts and SQL queries
• Experience with the iOS app deployment process to the app store.

Preferred qualifications:

• A complete portfolio with previous work
• Experience with Computer Vision
• Experience in working with custom hardware
• V1 product or startup experience
