Key Responsibilities

• Independently design, build, maintain and take on ownership of complex software modules and services
• Take complete ownership of multiple application backend interfaces
• Work across new age scripting languages and adapt to rapidly changing technology stack
• Lead the team of backend and frontend developers
• Design and/or build a unified application-level interface
• Implement microservices to containerize the application stack
• Working with version control tools such as git
• Defining and implementation of coding guidelines for the web development team
• Development of software modules as outlined in SRS/PRD
• Coordination with cross-functional software development teams and facilitation of communication for effective delivery
• Facilitate project team meetings for ensuring compliance to SRS/PRD and with the project timelines
• Participate in the complete systems development lifecycle for web-based applications and tools
• Conduct code reviews of peers and carry out code improvements
• Demonstrate continual improvement by assessing and incorporating the latest technologies in the software product
• Ensure the applications adhere to security standards as defined by certification agencies
• Knowledge of Threats and Vulnerabilities and how to address them

● Architect, design and implement data-centered analytics systems using geospatial data at the backend

● Working on DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure

● Demonstrate continual improvement by assessing and incorporating geospatial tools and techniques

● Working knowledge of Information Security Management policies and Procedures

Experience and Skill Set Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
• 5+ years experience as Node.js developer
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, JQuery
• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as React.js.)
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors (Less or SASS, etc.)
• Fair understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Should have Strategic understanding of the overall micro services architecture
• Exposure to Agile, Data Analytics is a plus
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Good knowledge of Python will be a plus
