• 6+ years experience scaling mobile and web products.
• Lead teams before where you were the sole architect and decision maker for all engineering solutions the your product needed.

What will you do as Delightree's first Engineering Lead:

• Architecture
• Be able to detect suboptimal coding styles and restructure to make clean functional code
• Plan, design, lead, and execute technical solutions and improvements, across mobile and desktop
• Break down complex and nebulous solution to small actionable workstreams
• Ensure test coverage
• Write tech feature documents / Trello cards for engineers to consume
• Set up and maintain testing processes, deployment and development pipelines
• Reviews
• Review pull requests and merge requests, for both RN and Node.
• Smoke test periodically, pre empt major engg pitfalls
• Initiatives
• Improvising on new tech stacks for improvising the existing infrastructure
• Hiring
• Source, qualify, and conduct technical interviews for engineers across all tech
• Assess and have a keen eye for cultural fit with the rest of the team
• Evaluate and estimate engineering resources required ahead of time
• Team
• Set up a strong engineering culture : organizing tech talks / tech weekends, hack nights, send team to tech events, incentivize brilliant code quality, etc
• Be responsible for his team members' career growth : advise on promotions, hikes, conduct feedback sessions periodically, etc
• Product
• Have strong preferences for tech stacks and architectures as observed at his or her favorite products
• Identify and have a knack for good user experience, implement them
• Release notes, product update notes
• Optionally, brainstorm on feature requests and prioritization

Tech Stack

At Delightree, we primarily work on React Native, GraphQL, NodeJS, and MongoDB. While that is not written in stone (or any other programming language), we are ever evolving to suit our users' needs!
