Description

Title -  Storage and Backup Administrator

Storage & Backup Technologies EMC, DELL, Netapp, Nimble

Requirements : 

Storage :                                               

• Understanding the Architecture and design of SAN/NAS infrastructure                                                                                            
• Installation, configuration, management and troubleshooting for IBM storage systems/HP storage/EMC Storage                                  
• Expertise in Meta creation, Mapping, Zoning, Masking, disk group management, and Data Replication .                                                   
• Experience in System administration storage provisioning through Unisphere and CLI / SYMCLI.                                                           
• Hands on Experience in HP 3PAR 7400 and Experience on HP 3PAR Remote Copy Software suite *                                               
• Experience with configuration of FAST Fully Automated Storage Tiering Thin provisioning on EMC VNX Storage Arrays.                                            
• In Depth experience of FA Ports, FA port mapping Thin Provisioning, Thick Provisioning, FAST VP, Zoning, RAID Level implementation.      
• Plan and upgrade HP 3PAR Storage arrays as per the customer requirement.                                                                                 
• Knowledge of zoning in large switched fabric environment (Brocade/Cisco)                                                                                  
• Experience with multipathing software management.                                                                                                            
• Monitoring and analyzing performance statistics to produce recommendations for the environment.                                                  
• Planning, scheduling and performing proactive maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades and patch installation of storage arrays.      
• Experience in SAN directors, Switches Implementation and support and Experience in Performance analysis and tuning                              
• Storage allocation and decommision of vmware/Unix/Windows Server as per the requirement.                                                                 
• Providing input into operational best practices and suggesting improvements to the existing environment.                                                  
• Analyzing impact of SAN/NAS network systems and components for the technical infrastructure.                                                               
• Should have depth knowledge on NAS/SAN  storage (Oracle ZFS ZS3-2,Oracle DE2-24C,EMC VNX 5100,Dell
• Strorage SCV2000,HP 3PAR 7400,IBM v5000 SAN, FS900 Flash Storage ).
• Disaster Recovery and High Availability Planning, Configuration, and Testing                                                                                 
• Time based reporting including health, activity, and status; capacity and performance management and reporting.                                     
• Dedicated, hardworking individual with good intercommunication skills to work well in both team environments and individual assignments.         

Backup

•  Able to handle first point escalation for all technical and process issues                                                                              
• Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
• Perform RCA for Major Incidents.                                         
• Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement. Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
• Create and update technical documentation (server configuration, backup and recovery procedures, etc.)                                          
• Prepare Weekly and monthly backup status reports                                                                                                                  
• Fundamental knowledge of Commvault, Networker.                                                                                                                
• Through understanding of key Backup processes & their functionalities                                                                              
• Architectural knowledge of Backup tools.                                                                                                                     
• Good understanding of Backup process flow (daemons).                                                                                          
• Hands on knowledge of supporting L2/L3 operational activities & troubleshooting on Backup technologies such as Commvault, Networker.
• Strong knowledge on Upgradation on Master/Media servers.                                                                                                
• Strong knowledge on Migration of data from one backup tool to another.                                                                                        
• Experience with Virtualization (Oracle VM or VMware), SAN and NAS technologies                                                                       
• Database (SQL, RMAN, SAP, Exchange etc.) backup configuration, troubleshooting and restorations.                                    
• Troubleshooting experience in backup & restore related issues                                                                                             
• Strong knowledge on Duplication, De-duplication, Replication and SLPs concept.                                                            
• Strong knowledge about virtualization (snapshot level) backups.                                                                           
• Must be familiar with some of the module based backups like Oracle, SQL, Exchange, etc.                                                           
• Strong knowledge about Media Vaulting, archival backups.                                                                                                    
• Strong knowledge about networking (Master-Media-Client) communication                                                                     
• Strong knowledge about Backup Provisioning/De-Provisioning as per user requirements                                               
• Sound knowledge & understanding about various backup technologies around virtualized platforms.                                        
• Good understanding of various tape library hardware & components                                                                                  
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 global work environment.
