IBM Cloud Pak System is a system to help you manage resources in a cloud-computing environment.

Cloud Pak System uses workload patterns to create consistent, validated, and repeatable virtual applications within the cloud environment. Workload patterns are solutions that enable the deployment of complex business applications in a cloud environment. When you use a workload pattern, you can focus on an application as opposed to the middleware infrastructure in which the application runs. For example, if an application consists of a WebSphere Application Server application, a database schema, and an LDAP program to manage users, you deploy these applications and Cloud Pak System installs and configures the required middleware and manages the application run time using policies that you define.

Cloud Pak System can be placed in a data center to dispense applications and topologies into a pool or cloud of virtualized hardware, and to manage these resources.Cloud Pak System manages the people, places, and things in your cloud-computing environment. Cloud computing is a computing paradigm in which data and services are located in data centers. The data and services can then be accessed from any connected devices over the Internet. Applications can use the cloud for added value, such as storage, queuing, and hosted applications. The applications themselves can also be hosted on the cloud. Using Cloud Pak System, you can work with the following topology resources in your cloud:

• Cloud group
• Networks
• Storage
• IP groups

Responsibilities:

• The Cloud Developer is a key role in the growing and dynamic IBM Cloud organization. As a developer for Cloud Pak System(CPS) product, you will be focused on development and support of the storage component of CPS and interfacing with product management, development teams across locations, and end users, to solve complex problems.
• You will be part of a strong, modern team culture driven to create world-class development and deployment environments, delivering an industry leading user experience for our customers. Working out of a modern office in the heart of the city, you will be valued for your contributions in a rapidly growing organization with dynamic opportunities. Each day, you will attend daily team scrums and project meetings to make important contributions in the development and architecture of automated solutions to continue building and optimizing our cloud and deployment infrastructure. You'll develop quality code in an agile process working with Offering Managers, Architects and Software developers.

Required Expertise:

• 5-10 years of industry experience.
• Practical working experience in Storage domain, primarily block storage
• Practical working experience with Java, Python and Groovy
• Experience with cloud computing technologies such as IBM Cloud Private/OpenShift, Microservices Architecture, Kubernetes/Docker Deployment.
• Knowledge of the different VNFs from Cisco, ZTE, Mavenir, Nokia, Huawei
• Experience using version control systems like Git.
• Experience in Automated & Continuous Delivery -- ability to write /define unit tests, automated build, test, run.

Preferred Expertise:

• Proven record of developing and supporting enterprise class products and applications.
• Knowledge on Cloud Architectures - IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, Docker.
